Eligibility: OfficePools “CFL Pick’em Contest” (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of Canada, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older, except that you must be nineteen (19) years of age or older if you live in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, PEI, Saskatchewan or Yukon; and legal residents of the United States (excluding all U.S. territories, including but not limited to Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico) who are twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Sponsor (as defined below), its subsidiaries and affiliates,  and any other companies or agencies associated with this Contest are collectively referred to herein as the “Contest Entities”. Employees of the Contest Entities and their immediate family members (defined as parents, parents-in-law, children, siblings, and spouse (including common law), regardless of where they reside) are not eligible to enter the Contest or win Contest prizes. Any other persons with whom such employees are domiciled are also not eligible to enter the Contest or win Contest prizes. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. 

Contest: As used herein, “Season” means the season of the Canadian Football League for their respective 2023 season, starting June 8, 2023, until the Grey Cup is awarded on November 19, 2023. 

Sponsor: The Contest is sponsored by Officepools.com Services Ltd., 88 E Pender St Unit 500, Vancouver, BC V6A 3X3 (“Sponsor”). 

Agreement to Official Rules: By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to abide by the terms and conditions thereof as established by the Sponsor. The sponsor reserves the right to qualify all submissions and to reject any submissions that do not meet the requirements for participation as established by the Sponsor.

Entry Period: The Contest will accept Picks beginning June 1, 2023, at 8:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time up to November 19, 2023, at 6:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (the “Entry Period”). Picks received before or after the Entry Period are void. OfficePools computer server, on which the Contest is hosted, is the official time-keeping device for the Contest. 

How To Enter: To enter this Contest, you will need an authenticated OfficePools account (an “Account”). If you don’t already have an account, simply visit OfficePools at https://www.officepools.com/accounts/signup/. Creating an account is free. By submitting your information, you agree to the Sponsor’s Web Site Use Agreement (https://www.officepools.com/site/terms). If you do not agree to the Web Site Use Agreement, you cannot create an Account or participate in this Contest. After signing up for an Account, you must authenticate your account by clicking on the link in the verification email that will be sent to the email address you provided.

Once you are logged into your account, click on the link to the Contest on the OfficePools.com homepage. To complete your entry, (A) pick the winners for each CFL matchup for the week. All selections must be submitted before each individual game starts. Due to the Autosave feature, picks will be deemed submitted when you select within the Contest interface. You may update and change your picks before each game begins. The date and time of your last update and submission shall be deemed to be your submission date and time. Picks will be deemed complete if your final submission during the Entry Period consists of a selection for each of the eighty-one (81) regular season matchups in the Contest and five (5) CFL playoff matchups, including the Grey Cup (“Complete Picks”). Limit one (1) set of Picks per person. Anyone found to use multiple accounts to enter will be disqualified from participating in the Contest or winning Contest prizes.

In the event of a dispute over the ownership of an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person whose name the email account was opened.

Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted or the owner of an entry shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Contest.

Normal internet access and device usage charges imposed by your online service provider may apply. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for the computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human or technical in nature, or for damaged, lost, late, illegible or misdirected entries; technical, hardware, software, electronic or telephone failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; fraudulent, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions whether caused by Sponsor, the users, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest; or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions or downloading, that may limit, delay or prevent an entrant’s ability to participate in the Contest. Sponsor is not liable for any loss, injury or damage caused, whether directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from downloading data or otherwise participating in this Contest.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel this Contest for any reason, including if viruses, bugs or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control, unauthorized human intervention, malfunction, computer problems, phone line or network hardware or software malfunction, which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupt, compromise or materially affect the administration, fairness, security or proper play of the Contest or proper submission of Picks.

Scoring: Contestants’ primary objective is to earn points for correctly predicting the outcome of as many matchups within the twenty-one (21) weeks, of the regular season, including the five (5) matchups in the CFL playoffs. Each correct prediction that the contestant makes is worth one point and will contribute to their Overall Point total.  

Tie-Breaker, A tiebreaker question of “total points scored by both teams” in the final game of each week has been inserted into the game and will be used as a manual tiebreaker between tied contestants. The participant who correctly predicts the total amount of points scored or is the closest will be deemed the winner of the tiebreaker. Under-estimation is prioritized over over-estimation only when the predicted total scores differ equally from the result. Contestants must have answered the in-game tiebreaker question for their entry to be included in any tiebreaking scenario. 

At the conclusion of the contest, if a tiebreaker is needed, all eligible contestants will have one entry entered into a draw. The tie will be broken by drawing one eligible name for awarding the Overall Points Grand Prize. The draw will take place at GSL headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Selection of the Weekly Prize Winners: At the conclusion of each week (Week 1-21 + Semi-Finals, West/East Finals of the CFL season and postseason), each contestant’s overall score will be calculated. The contestant with the most total Overall Points will be eligible for the Weekly Points Prize. It is unlimited in the amount of weeks a contestant can win.  In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker question of “how many points in total will be scored in the final game of each week of this Contest has been inserted into the game and will be used as a tiebreaker between tied contestants. 

Requirements and Notification of Overall Weekly Prize Winners: The Weekly Points Prize Winner will be notified via email on or about five (5) business days after the end of each week. If the Weekly Points Prize Winner does not acknowledge acceptance of his or her prize within ten (10) business days after being notified that he or she is the Weekly Points Prize Winner, the prize may be forfeited, and a re-draw will occur for the remaining eligible Weekly Points Prize entries. In the event that there are no other Weekly Points Prize Winners, the Sponsor reserves the right not to award the Weekly Points Prize.

Selection of the Overall Points Prize Winner: At the conclusion of the Contest, each contestant’s overall score will be calculated. The contestant with the most total Overall Points  will be eligible for the Overall Grand Prize. In the event of a tie, all eligible contestants will have one entry entered into a draw, and the tie will be broken by drawing one eligible name for the awarding of Grand Prize.

Requirements and Notification of Overall  Points Prize Winners: The Overall Points Prize Winner will be notified via email on or about five (5) business days after the end of the Tournament. If the Overall Points Prize Winners does not acknowledge acceptance of his or her prize within ten (10) business days after being notified that he or she is the Overall Points Prize Winner, the prize may be forfeited, and a re-draw will occur for the remaining eligible Overall Points Prize entries. In the event that there are no other Overall Points Prize Winners, the Sponsor reserves the right not to award the Overall Points Prize.

Regardless of residency,  Sponsor may require the Prize Winners to provide a copy of valid government-issued photo identification as evidence of age and identity and to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability, and publicity release wherever lawful, as a precondition to award of the prize. If the Prize Winner fails to provide such identification and sign and return the requested documents to Sponsor in the time indicated by Sponsor, that Prize Winner may be disqualified, and the prize will thereafter be awarded to one of the other Prize Winners from the remaining valid entries using the procedure specified above. The prize shall be delivered to the Prize Winner at the mailing address provided by the Prize Winner.

The Overall Weekly Points Prizes : $25 CFL Team Store Gift Card (Week 1 to Week 21). Contestants can win more than once.

The Overall Grand Prize: 2024 Season Tickets to the CFL Team of your choice ($800 - $1000 value depending on team and region)
*If the grand prize winner does not live in a location where a CFL team plays games, an alternate prize of the same value will be awarded which will be discussed with the winner.

Privacy: By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge and agree that any personal information they provide will be maintained per OfficePools.com Services Ltd’s “Website Use Agreement”, which can be viewed here: https://www.officepools.com/site/terms. By participating in the Contest, you: (i) grant to the Sponsor the right to use your name, mailing address, telephone number, email address, user name, Private Team name, and gameplay information (including but not limited to Picks, scores, and standings) (“Personal Information”) to administer the Contest, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the winners; (ii) grant to the Sponsor the right to use your Personal Information for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Contest, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation unless prohibited by law; and (iii) acknowledge that the Sponsor may disclose your Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of the Sponsor in connection with any of the activities listed in (i) and (ii) above. The sponsor will use the entrant’s Personal Information only for identified purposes and protect the entrant’s Personal Information in a manner consistent with the Website Use Agreement.

RELEASE: ENTRANTS AGREE TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE CONTEST ENTITIES AND THEIR RESPECTIVE SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST. ENTRANTS AGREE THAT THE CONTEST ENTITIES AND THEIR RESPECTIVE SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST AND ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION AND USE OF ANY PRIZE. SPONSOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TYPOGRAPHICAL OR OTHER ERROR IN THE PRINTING OF THE OFFER OR ADMINISTRATION OF THE CONTEST OR IN THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE PRIZE. NO ENTRIES WILL BE RETURNED. ALL ENTRIES BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE SPONSOR.

DISPUTES EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT:

TO THE EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST, OR ANY PRIZES AWARDED, SHALL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORTING TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION, EXCEPT THAT YOU MAY ASSERT CLAIMS IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT IF YOUR CLAIMS QUALIFY;

1. ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS, AND AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, INCLUDING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ENTERING THIS CONTEST, BUT IN NO EVENT ATTORNEYS' FEES; AND
2. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN AWARDS FOR, AND ENTRANT HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN FOR ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES, AND ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED.

JURISDICTION: ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION, AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANT AND SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST, SHALL BE GOVERNED BY, AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWs OF THE PROVINCE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA, PROVIDED THAT NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, IN THE CASE OF CANADIAN RESIDENTS, APPLICABLE LAWS IN CANADA MAY REQUIRE THAT THE LAWS OF THE CANADIAN JURISDICTION IN WHICH YOU RESIDE APPLY INSTEAD, IN WHICH CASE THE LAWS OF THAT JURISDICTION WILL APPLY.
