Scoring: Contestants’ primary objective is to earn points for correctly predicting the outcome of as many matchups within the 15  including the Stanley Cup Championship. Each correct prediction that the contestant makes is worth a number of points and will contribute to their Overall Point total.  Here is how the point system works:

  • NHL Playoffs First Round - 1 Point
  • NHL Playoffs 2nd Round - 3 Points
  • NHL Playoffs Semi-Finals - 5 Points
  • Stanley Cup Winner - 10 Points

Tie-Breaker A tiebreaker question of “how many goals in total will be scored in the final series (Stanley Cup finals)” of this Tournament, has been inserted into the game and will be used as a manual tiebreaker between tied contestants. The participant who correctly predicts the total amount of goals scored or is the closest will be deemed the winner of the tiebreaker. Under-estimation has priority over over-estimation only when the predicted total scores are equally apart from the result. Contestants must have answered the in-game tiebreaker question in order for their entry to be included in any tiebreaking scenario. In the event that a second tiebreaker is needed, all contestants eligible will have one entry entered into a draw, and the tie will be broken by drawing one eligible name for the awarding of the Overall Points Prizes (1st, 2nd and 3rd Overall). The draw will take place at GSL headquarters, in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Selection of the Perfect Bracket Winner: At the conclusion of the Tournament, each contestant’s bracket predictions will be calculated. The contestant(s) with a perfect score/bracket, will be awarded one (1) grand prize consisting of CDN $ 10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Canadian Dollars) in cash (“Grand Prize”). The Grand Prize will be awarded only in the event that a “Perfect Bracket” is received (as defined in the next paragraph).

In these Official Terms, a “Perfect Bracket” shall mean a Bracket that correctly predicts the winning team of every single seven-game series in the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs (Tournament), which is fifteen (15) matchups in total. If two or more eligible Entrants submit a Perfect Bracket, then the Grand Prize will be divided evenly among the valid winning Entrants, at our sole and absolute discretion. If no eligible Entrant submits a Perfect Bracket, then the Grand Prize will not be awarded and will remain the property of the Sponsor.

The Perfect Bracket Winner will be notified via email on or about five (5) business days after the end of the Tournament. If the Perfect Bracket Prize Winner does not acknowledge acceptance of his or her prize within ten (10) business days after being notified that he or she is the Perfect Bracket Prize Winner, the prize may be forfeited.

Regardless of residency, Sponsor may require the Perfect Bracket Prize Winner to provide a copy of valid government-issued photo identification as evidence of age and identity and to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release, wherever lawful, as a precondition to award of the prize. If the Prize Winner fails to provide such identification and sign and return the requested documents to Sponsor in the time indicated by Sponsor, that Prize Winner may be disqualified.
