NEWARK, NJ(April 1, 2026) -Sarah Fillier scored the overtime game-winning goal to cap off a hat trick, firing a shot around a defender to lift the New York Sirens to a 4-3 comeback triumph over the Minnesota Frost Wednesday night at Prudential Center. Taylor Heise wasted no time getting the Frost on the board, burying a net front goal off a slick skate-to-stick move just 16 seconds into the first period. Five minutes later, rookie Maddi Wheeler responded for the Sirens, knotting the score at 1-1 with a top shelf finish from one knee.Grace Zumwinkle gave Minnesota their best chance with a pair of goals, scoring a backhanded beauty at 4:07 of the second period before striking again 44 seconds into the third period to give the Frost a 3-1 lead early in the final frame. Fillier's first career hat trick began with a momentum-shifting goal at 12:20 of the third period, when she exited the penalty box, snagged the puck, and skated in on a breakaway, using a forehand-backhand fake to pull the Sirens within one at 3-2. Just 14 seconds later, Fillier buried a rebound from a blocked shot to tie the game at three apiece, setting the stage for her overtime winner. Rookie Callie Shanahan turned away 22 of 25 shots for her first career victory, while Maddie Rooney took the loss with a 25-save performance. |

The Torrent restored their three-goal lead with a shot from Carpenter on the rush at 9:48. Kayle Osborne, who played alongside Schroeder as a rookie last season, couldn't top her former teammate with a 16-save effort in defeat. VANCOUVER, BC (March 18, 2026) - Anna Shokhina, Anna Segedi, and Mannon McMahon made their mark on the Vancouver Goldeneyes' scoresheet for the first time to help overtake the New York Sirens 5-2 in their fourth and final matchup of the regular season in front of 9,226 fans at Pacific Coliseum on Wednesday night. Shokhina and Segedi each recorded their first Goldeneyes goals to quickly put Vancouver ahead by two in the first seven minutes of play; Shokhina's marker was scored unassisted as she toe-dragged through traffic with just three seconds left in a Goldeneyes power play, while Segedi scored off a behind-the-net pass from Michelle Karvinen. Sarah Fillier quickly brought New York back within one at 7:15 of the first, tipping a blue line shot from Maja Nylen Persson, but a Sophie Jaques' slapshot from the point at 16:00 padded the Goldeneyes' lead and would stand as the game winner. Sirens rookie Anna Bargman was the lone second period scorer with her tip off Nicole Vallario's point shot at 13:19, and the Goldeneyes closed it out in the third with Tereza Vanisova's goal at 5:27, bounced in off Kayle Osborne's blocker, and an empty netter from McMahon with 18 seconds remaining. Osborne made 24 saves on 28 shots, with 12 coming in the first period, while Kristen Campbell turned away 22/24 for her third regulation win at Pacific Coliseum.

For the seventh time in Olympic women's ice hockey history, the gold medal will be decided in a battle between Canada and the United States in another chapter showcasing one of the greatest rivalries in all of sport. The Americans are unbeaten with six wins in Italy, including a 5-0 victory over Canada during preliminary round play last Tuesday, and have won seven straight against their Canadian counterparts dating back to four Rivalry Series games and two matchups at the 2025 Women's Worlds where the U.S. won gold. Canada holds the upper hand on the Olympic stage, winning five of the seven previous head-to-head gold medal finals. Canadian captain Marie-Philip Poulin of Montreal and American captain Hilary Knight of Seattle are both competing for their fifth Olympic medals and headline the list of 39 PWHL players going for gold. Toronto's Daryl Watts leads all PWHL players in tournament scoring with eight points and fellow Canadian Sarah Fillier of New York is second on the team with six points. Torrent forward Hannah Bilka and Boston captain Megan Keller both have seven points each for a U.S. team that has scored five or more goals in every game thus far. The top two goaltenders of the 2025-26 PWHL season have continued to perform on the global stage, most notably Aerin Frankel of the Fleet who has posted four wins and a record three shutouts as the U.S. surrendered just one goal against in six games. The second semifinal features a rematch of last Saturday's preliminary round where Canada took the ice for the first time in a 4-0 victory, outshooting Switzerland 55-6. New York's Sarah Fillier (3G, 3A) and Toronto's Daryl Watts (2G, 4A) share the team lead with six points and tallied a goal and an assist apiece in that contest. Seattle's Julia Gosling (3G, 2A) scored the first of her tournament-leading three power play goals against the Swiss, and Canada's top scoring defender, Claire Thompson (1G, 3A) of Vancouver, also the top scoring blue liner in Olympic history, picked up two assists. Canada got a boost in their 5-1 quarterfinal win over Germany with the return of Montreal captain Marie-Philip Poulin, who made history with her 18th career Olympic goal to tie the all-time record. Boston's Alina Muller also made Olympic history in Saturday's quarterfinals, becoming just the sixth woman to score 15 career goals and moved up to eighth on the all-time scoring list with 27 points in Switzerland's 1-0 triumph over Finland. This will be the third semifinal meeting between the countries on the Olympic stage, with Canada winning 3-1 in Sochi 2014, and 10-3 in Beijing 2022, before going on to win gold in both tournaments. Canada has never lost to Switzerland in 19 games historically at the Olympics and Women's Worlds, outscoring them 133-9. |

New York alternate captain Sarah Fillier on the atmosphere and crowd in Washington D.C.: "It was awesome. In the third, when they were singing along during play, it's an incredible feeling as a player to know fans are excited to show up, support women's hockey, and watch the product we put on the ice. Speaking specifically about this crowd, I don't think I've ever seen that many people at warm-ups with signs along the glass for us. Three PWHL players reached the 50-career point milestone last week, a bar set earlier this season by Poulin. Watts met the mark with Toronto's lone goal last Tuesday against Minnesota and has now reached 52 career points (27G, 25A) following a two-point effort on Saturday against Seattle. She has tied her career-high with points in five straight games and set a new team record with goals in four consecutive games, the longest goal scoring streak of the season and one shy of tying Sarah Fillier's 2024-25 record of five. Seattle alternate captain Alex Carpenter became the first American player to reach 50 career points (24G, 26A) with a goal against Toronto on Saturday, her 58th career game. One day, later Coyne Schofield hit the milestone with a primary assist, then followed it up with her league-leading eighth goal of the season to bring the Frost captain's career point total to 51 (26G, 25A) in 64 career games. NEWARK, NJ (January 2, 2026) - The New York Sirens stretched their winning streak to three games with a 4-3 victory over the Montreal Victoire on Friday afternoon at Prudential Center, backstopped by Kayle Osborne's 42 saves. Victoire forward Laura Stacey opened the scoring at 3:47 of the first period, but New York answered late in the frame when Anna Bargman tied the game with 3:44 remaining, spinning and firing from the slot for her first PWHL goal. The Sirens took their first lead at 3:46 of the second period when Kristin O'Neill scored against her former club, converting in the slot after a turnover behind the Montreal net. The Victoire responded three minutes later on the power play, as Marie-Philip Poulin hammered home a one-timer following crisp perimeter passing from Erin Ambrose and Abby Roque. First overall pick Kristyna Kaltounkova restored New York's lead later in the second, slipping free from coverage and burying a cross-ice feed for her team-leading fifth goal of the season. Midway through the third, Paetyn Levis extended the Sirens' advantage to two when she finished a Sarah Fillier pass on the rush. Montreal appeared to answer on a net-front deflection by Poulin, but the goal was waved off after video review for a high stick. Despite outshooting New York 45-21, the Victoire struggled to solve Osborne until the final minute, when Natalie Mlynkova tipped an Abby Roque point shot with the extra attacker to cut the deficit to one. With the victory, New York moved into a tie for second in the league standings. Sandra Abstreiter made 17 saves for the Victoire, who dropped their third consecutive game in regulation. |

Sirens rookie forward Kristyna Kaltounkova on her two-goal game and chemistry with her linemates: "Those two goals were a full line effort. I think the change of the setup brings a bit more variety in how we can attack and how we saw that today. Like Fargs [Fargo] said, we're right there and we're getting good chances and pucks around the crease - we just have to bury one here."

OTTAWA, ON (March 25, 2025) - The New York Sirens scored six unanswered goals in the third period, erasing a three-goal deficit, to earn a dominant 6-3 win over the Ottawa Charge at TD Place on Tuesday night. The Charge gained momentum early in the game with a shorthanded 'jailbreak' goal from Rebecca Leslie, followed by goals from Emily Clark and captain Brianne Jenner to put Ottawa up by three after two periods of play. However, the game was far from over as New York opened the floodgates in the third period to stifle Ottawa's momentum. Jessie Eldridge put her team on the board 1:25 into the final frame, then Sarah Fillier found the twine on the power play to cut the Sirens' deficit to 3-2. Jade Downie-Landry then scored a pair of goals less than four minutes apart to give the Sirens their first lead of the game, silencing the Ottawa crowd of 5,707. FIllier added to New York's tally with her second of the night to extend the Sirens' lead to two, and Alex Carpenter sealed the win for New York with an empty-net goal. Rookie netminder Kayle Osborne, who hails from nearby Westport, ON, earned her second career win for the Sirens - both of which have come at TD Place - turning aside 15 of 18 shots. Fellow rookie Gwyneth Philips stopped 28 of 33 shots between the pipes for Ottawa in her eighth start of the season. With the win, New York moves within three points of fifth-place Ottawa with four games remaining, while Ottawa stays two points out of a playoff spot behind fourth-place Minnesota with five games left to play. |

In her only game of the week, Knight recorded a goal and two assists, marking her fifth multi-point outing of the season and her third game with three or more points in the last month. Against the Charge, Knight recorded the primary assist on Alina Muller's power play goal at 8:34 of the second period, giving the Fleet a 1-0 lead. Then, with less than eight minutes to go in the third frame, Knight scored the eventual game-winning goal on a breakaway-- her fourth game-winner of the season--before adding the sole assist on Jill Saulnier's empty-net insurance marker. Sirens Forward Sarah Fillier on New York's performance tonight: "I thought we saw a lot of what we want Sirens hockey to be today. We are super physical, hard to play against so there's a lot of good things to take-- and we got a point out of it. The crowd was awesome of course and it was our first Takeover Tour; to get a piece of it and help grow our game in our league, it's been a lot of fun." |

Miller contributed a goal, four assists and six shots to the three-victory week that lengthened the Sceptres' winning streak to four games. She had a goal and an assist in Toronto's 3-2 overtime triumph against Minnesota, and after being held scoreless in Wednesday's 3-1 victory at home to Boston, Miller assisted on all of the Sceptres' goals in their 3-2 overtime victory over Ottawa in Edmonton. The performance vaulted Miller into the PWHL scoring lead with 8-10--18, good for a one-point advantage over Minnesota's Kendall Coyne Schofield (7-10--17) and New York's Sarah Fillier (5-12--17). The 29-year-old from North Vancouver, B.C., earned her second "PWHL 3 Stars Of The Week" recognition of the season; she also was second star the week of Jan. 20-26. |
