| Sept. 23, 2026 | Gauthier was placed on waivers by the Penguins on Wednesday for the purpose of reassignment to the minors. - Gauthier wasn't going to make the Penguins' Opening Night roster considering the depth ahead of him between the pipes. The 25-year-old backstop could spend most of the year with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, though he might also get a look with ECHL Florida for a larger role. | None |
| June 16, 2026 | Gauthier signed a one-year, two-way contract with Pittsburgh on Tuesday. - Gauthier posted a 21-9-5 record with a 2.09 GAA, a .929 save percentage and three shutouts in 36 regular-season appearances for ECHL Wheeling in 2025-26. He also went 9-8 with a 2.23 GAA and a .922 save percentage during the 2026 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The 25-year-old will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2026-27 campaign in the minors. | None |
| April 6, 2026 | Gauthier was reassigned to ECHL Wheeling on Monday, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports. - Gauthier was able to serve as the backup against the Panthers on Sunday, but he won't be making his NHL debut any time soon. If Stuart Skinner (upper body) isn't ready to face the Devils on Thursday, fantasy managers can likely expect Sergei Murashov to be elevated from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton -- which means the 25-year-old Gauthier figures to spend the rest of the year in the minors. | None |
| April 5, 2026 | Gauthier has been recalled by the Penguins from ECHL Wheeling, Wes Crosby of NHL.com reports. - Gauthier is up as insurance to Arturs Silovs becaus Stuart Skinner was scratched from Sunday's game after being struck with a puck near the eye Saturday. Gauthier was in the ECHL with Wheeling but is in the midst of a fabulous season as he sports a 20-7-2 record, 2.00 GAA and a .932 save percentage. | None |
| March 6, 2026 | Gauthier signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Penguins on Friday. - Gauthier has a 2.07 GAA and a .924 save percentage in 22 outings with ECHL Wheeling in 2025-26. The 25-year-old hasn't played at the AHL level this season. | None |
| June 30, 2025 | Pittsburgh won't tender Gauthier a qualifying offer before Monday's deadline, according to Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff. - Gauthier will become an unrestricted free agent. He spent most of the 2024-25 regular season with ECHL Wheeling, posting a record of 18-10-2 with a 2.06 GAA and a .928 save percentage. The 24-year-old netminder doesn't have any NHL experience. | None |
| Oct. 5, 2024 | Gauthier (undisclosed) was moved to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday. - Gauthier's reassignment suggests that he has recovered from his undisclosed injury. The 23-year-old had a 2.23 GAAA and a .923 save percentage across 42 regular-season games with ECHL Wheeling in 2023-24. | None |
| Oct. 2, 2024 | Gauthier (undisclosed) isn't expected to play in Thursday's preseason game against the Blue Jackets. - Gauthier has been dealing with an undisclosed injury since the start of camp, and his final chance to suit up during the preseason will be Friday against Columbus. However, if he's healthy, he's expected to begin the year in the minors. | None |
| Sept. 27, 2024 | Gauthier (undisclosed) isn't expected to play Saturday versus Detroit or Sunday against Ottawa. - Gauthier's next opportunity to get into the lineup will come Tuesday versus the Red Wings. The 23-year-old is projected to open the campaign in the minors, provided he's healthy. | None |
| Sept. 17, 2024 | Gauthier was listed among the Penguins' injured players Tuesday. - Gauthier wasn't going to be making the Penguins' Opening Night roster even without his undisclosed injury, so this news should have little impact on fantasy players. Still, the 23-year-old backstop may be one to watch for dynasty managers after he went 24-16-2 in 42 games for ECHL Wheeling last season while recording a 2.23 GAA and .923 save percentage. | None |
