Fleury did not factor in the decision and remained at 9-2-2 on the season with a 1.83 GAA and .942 save percentage. After yielding just three goals total over his previous three starts, Fleury wasn't quite as sharp in this one as he couldn't protect a 2-1 third-period lead. The All-Star goaltender has still hasn't lost in regulation since returning from a concussion in mid-December, going 5-0-2 with a terrific 1.41 GAA and a .953 save percentage in seven outings.
Jan. 8, 2018 Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 28 of 29 shots in the Golden Knights' 2-1 win over the Rangers on Sunday. Fleury had a five-start win streak snapped despite yielding two goals or less for the fourth straight time, a run in which he's posted a pair of shutouts. Dec. 24, 2017 Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 26 shots he faced in the Golden Knights' 3-0 win over the Capitals on Saturday for his first shutout of the year. The victory pushed him to 6-1-1 on the season with a 1.97 GAA and .938 save percentage. Fleury notched his first shutout in Vegas - and 45th of his career - in just his fourth start after missing two months because of a concussion. He's allowed a combined six goals since returning.
Dec. 19, 2017 Fleury stopped 35 shots, including 15 in the third period, to help the Golden Knights earn a 4-3 victory over red-hot Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Since returning from a concussion that sidelined him two months, Fleury has gone 2-0-1 with a strong 1.95 goals-against average and .940 save percentage in three starts. The three-time Stanley Cup champion is clearly safe to insert back into lineups for those who haven't done so already.
Dec. 15, 2017 Fleury stopped 24 shots against his former team as the Vegas Golden Knights beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1. It was the first meeting between the defending Stanley Cup champions and Vegas, which acquired Fleury from Pittsburgh during the NHL expansion draft on June 21. Fleury, who returned to the ice Tuesday and stopped 35 of 37 shots in a loss to Carolina after missing 25 games, wasted no time in reminding Pittsburgh what it let get away.
Dec. 12, 2017 Fleury was sharp in his first start in two months, turning aside 35 shots in the Knights' 3-2 shootout loss to Carolina on Tuesday. The high-priced goaltender was the main reason why the Knights were able to pick up a point on this night and proved he's over the concussion that sidelined him for so long. Fleury has now allowed two goals or less in four of his five starts in a Vegas jersey and should get plenty more going forward as long as he can remain healthy.
Oct. 15, 2017 Fleury (concussion) has been taken off injured reserve. With Oscar Dansk also injured, Malcolm Subban and Maxime Lagace have taken over in net.
Oct. 11, 2017 Fleury made 31 saves and the Golden Knights remained unbeaten three games into their inaugural season with a 5-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes in their home opener. Fleury has stared Vegas' first three games, posting a 1.32 GAA and 0.963 save percentage. The Golden Knights next play Friday against the Red Wings, and the former Penguins netminder is 5-2-0 with a 3.37 GAA in his last seven starts versus Detroit.
Oct. 8, 2017 Fleury stopped 27 shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Coyotes. Fleury - the former Pittsburgh Penguins netminder - was strong again as he started for the second successive night, making 27 saves, and now has turned aside 72 of 74 shots this season.
Oct. 6, 2017 Fleury's Golden Knights debut couldn't have gone much better as he stopped 45 of 46 shots Friday in a 2-1 win at Dallas. This was Fleury's first game in an uniform other than one of the Pittsburgh Penguins, the team he won 375 games with and three Stanley Cups.
May 18, 2017 Fleury was pulled in the first period Wednesday after allowing four goals on nine shots in a 5-1 loss at Ottawa as the Penguins fell into a 2-1 hole in the Eastern Conference finals. Matt Murray replaced Fleury at 12:42 of the first period and went on to stop 19 shots. Murray, who backstopped Pittsburgh to the Stanley Cup last spring, saw his first playoff action after getting injured in warmups before the first game of round one. Penguins coach Mike Sullivan gave no indication on which goalie he would start in Game 4. Fleury had allowed just two goals in the first two games of the series, including a Game 2 shutout.
May 16, 2017 Fleury stopped 23 shots in a 1-0 win over the Sens in Game 2 on Monday. This is his second shutout of the playoffs and 10th of his postseason career. Fleury's 62nd playoff win moved him ahead of Henrik Lundqvist for the most by an active goaltender, heady territory for a guy who lost his starting job to Matt Murray during the course of the season. Now Fleury is the main reason the Penguins are three wins from a return trip to the Cup finals.
May 11, 2017 Fleury made 29 saves and carried the Penguins to a 2-0 Game 7 win in Washington on Wednesday night. A year after being benched for Matt Murray in the playoffs, Fleury may very well be the Conn Smythe Trophy front-runner through two rounds.
May 4, 2017 Fleury made 36 saves in the Penguins' 3-2 win over Washington in Game 4 on Wednesday. Fleury played out of his mind once again, making great save after great save. He's easily the Conn Smythe Trophy frontrunner just a year after being benched for Matt Murray.
April 28, 2017 Fleury was strong in net Thursday with 33 saves as the Penguins beat the Capitals 3-2 to open the teams' second-round series. Fleury had 15 saves in the third period, including a flurry of four with 3 minutes left long after he had lost his stick. ''I couldn't see the puck for a little while there, I had no stick, so I was trying to make some stops,'' Fleury said. ''It was fun. ... Try to rise up to the challenge and try to keep the team in the game. Saving that lead, when you can do it, it's a good feeling.'' He has a .934 save percentage in this postseason.
April 21, 2017 Fleury capped a strong opening-round series with a superb 49-save effort in Thursday's Game 5 win over Columbus. Matt Murray could be ready to return from his lower-body injury for the next round, though it would be tough for Pens coach Mike Sullivan to demote Fleury after the veteran keeper recorded a 2.52 GAA and a .933 save percentage against the Blue Jackets. Either way, Pittsburgh appears in good shape between the pipes as it continues its quest for a second straight Stanley Cup.
April 19, 2017 Fleury stopped 29 of 34 shots in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jackets as the Penguins missed a chance to complete a first-round sweep. Fleury allowed at least four goals for the second straight start after surrendering only one in each of the series' first two games. Matt Murray remains out with a lower-body injury sustained before Game 1. It seemed unlikely he would return for this series after Fleury's terrific start, but if healthy enough, it now would seem there's a chance Murray gets back in net.
April 15, 2017 Fleury made 39 saves in the Penguins' 4-1 win over the Blue Jackets on Friday. Who saw this coming? An afterthought after last year's playoff run, Fleury has filled in for the injured Matt Murray splendidly, making 70 saves on 72 shots in two playoff games.
March 30, 2017 Fleury surrendered five goals - four in the first period - on 36 shots in Wednesday's loss to Chicago. The poor start resulted in the veteran's third loss in four starts, with Fleury allowing three or more goals in each of those defeats. Matt Murray isn't playing particularly well right now either, so the two could continue to work in a tandem until one gets hot.
March 19, 2017 Fleury stopped 21 shots for his 44th career shutout in Sunday's 4-0 win over Florida. He allowed 15 goals in his previous five starts.
March 11, 2017 Fleury made 40 saves in the Penguins' 3-2 shootout win over the Oilers on Friday. Fleury still has a little bit of fantasy value even as the Penguins' backup due to the capability of having a game like this.
March 6, 2017 Fleury stopped all 28 shots he faced in the final two periods to lead Pittsburgh to a 4-3 comeback win over the Sabres. Fleury had allowed at least three goals in each of his previous three starts, and earned his first win at home since Feb. 16.
Feb. 12, 2017 Fleury stopped 21 of 25 shots in Saturday's overtime loss in Arizona. The 13-year veteran did little to show he deserves more playing time over Matt Murray. Fleury has a 3.72 GAA in his last four starts.
Jan. 14, 2017 Fleury stopped 28 of 34 shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss at Detroit. Fleury has now lost consecutive starts - the first Wednesday, when he made 25 saves on 29 shots in a 5-2 loss at Washington - after posting a 1.84 GAA in winning his previous five starts. The Penguins host the Capitals on Monday.
Jan. 12, 2017 Fleury's five-game winning streak came to an end Wednesday in Washington, where he was reached for four goals on 29 shots in Pittsburgh's 5-2 loss. Fleury came in with a 1.84 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage over the course of the win streak. With Matt Murray now back from his lower-body injury, playing time figures to be reduced for the Penguins' more experienced netminder in the coming weeks.
Jan. 9, 2017 Fleury collected his fifth straight win with a 28-save effort in Pittsburgh's 6-2 victory over Tampa Bay on Sunday. Matt Murray is nearing a return from a lower-body injury, but Fleury will be tough to take out of the net with the way he's played the past few weeks. He's now 5-0-1 with a 2.00 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage over his last seven appearances.
Dec. 31, 2016 Fleury helped the Penguins to Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Montreal by coming up with 37 saves. With Matt Murray out indefinitely with a lower-body injury, Fleury will be undertaking a heavy workload for the time being. The veteran is in good form right now, having surrendered only six goals in winning his last four appearances.
Dec. 24, 2016 Fleury made 23 saves in the Penguins' 4-1 win over the Devils on Friday. Fleury has stopped 64 of the 67 shots he's faced over his last two starts.
Dec. 18, 2016 Fleury and Matt Murray combined to make 47 saves in Saturday's loss to the Leafs. Fleury was forced to leave briefly in the first period after being cut on his neck by a skate. He got five stitches around his Adam's apple. He should be fine moving forward.

Nov. 25, 2016 Fleury's terrible run continued Friday as he allowed six goals in a loss to the Wild. Fleury is 0-3-2 with a 3.34 GAA over his past five starts.
Nov. 19, 2016 Fleury made 32 saves Saturday but gave up the only goal of the shootout as the Penguins lost 2-1 to Buffalo. Despite Fleury suffering his fourth straight loss, it was a very encouraging performance. He had allowed 15 goals in his previous four games and entered with a 3.32 GAA for the season.
Nov. 17, 2016 Fleury replaced injured Matt Murray late in the first period Wednesday and allowed five goals on 25 shots in the Penguins' 7-1 loss to the Capitals. He's allowed 11 goals in his last three appearances.
Nov. 11, 2016 Fleury was peppered with 43 shots Thursday and gave up three goals in a loss to the Wild. Fleury was back in goal after Stanley Cup winner Matt Murray started and won the previous two games. Fleury is 6-3-2 but has a 3.06 goals-against average while Murray has won all three of his starts with a 1.33 GAA.
Nov. 3, 2016 Fleury made 24 saves Thursday as he had a three-start winning streak snapped with a 3-2 overtime loss in Los Angeles. Fleury has been dreadful on the road, losing three of four starts with a 4.31 goals-against average. Pittsburgh caps a four-game trip Saturday in San Jose.
Oct. 30, 2016 Fleury came up with 38 saves to help the Penguins to a 5-4 win at Philadelphia on Saturday. Fleury continues to be kept busy, as he's started each of Pittsburgh's nine games and made a league-high 271 saves. The veteran's workload may soon be decreasing, though, with Matt Murray nearing a return from a broken hand.
Oct. 27, 2016 Fleury was outstanding Thursday in a 4-2 win over the Islanders, stopping 37 shots. Fleury has cooled after posting a .948 save percentage in his first two starts, but has allowed two goals in two straight and three of his past four games. He 5-0-1 with a .930 save percentage at home this season.
Oct. 25, 2016 Fleury, who has started the first seven games of the season for Pittsburgh, stopped 20 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Florida. Fleury bounced back after yielding five goals on 23 shots and getting pulled after two periods of Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Predators. Pittsburgh hosts the Islanders on Thursday, and Fleury went 2-1-0 with a 1.63 GAA in three games against them last season.
Oct. 22, 2016 Fleury gave up five goals on 23 shots and was pulled after two periods of the Penguins' 5-1 loss to the Predators on Saturday. Fleury had been fairly solid with a .920 save percentage before Saturday, but he looks like someone who could use a night off.
Oct. 21, 2016 Fleury's 32 saves helped the Penguins halt a two-game losing streak with Thursday's 3-2 win over San Jose. Fleury had allowed four goals in each of Pittsburgh's two defeats heading to the contest and is now 3-1-1 with a 2.76 GAA and a .920 save percentage in five 2016-17 starts. It will be interesting to see how coach Mike Sullivan divvies up time between Fleury and Matt Murray once the latter returns from his broken hand.
Oct. 18, 2016 Fleury suffered his second straight loss Tuesday, allowing four goals on 32 shots in a 4-0 loss at Montreal. Since stopping 73 of 77 shots in his first two starts, Fleury has allowed eight goals on 63 in the past two games. After playing two games in two nights, Fleury could be back in net Thursday against San Jose.
Oct. 17, 2016 Fleury stopped 27 shots in Monday's OT loss to Colorado. Fleury, who had a 1.92 GAA in winning Pittsburgh's first two games, may get the night off Tuesday, when the Penguins complete their first back-to-back at Montreal.
Oct. 15, 2016 Fleury made 33 saves, including several quality third-period stops while the Anaheim Ducks pressed for the tying goal, allowing Phil Kessel's power-play goal in the second to stand as the game-winner in the Penguins' 3-2 victory Saturday night. Fleury, who led the Penguins to a Stanley Cup in 2009, lost his starting job to Matt Murray after sustaining the second of two concussions late in the regular season last spring. That opened the door for the 22-year-old Murray to backstop the Penguins to their fourth Stanley Cup in franchise history. Murray, however, broke his hand during the World Cup of Hockey and Fleury has stepped up in his absence, stopping 73 of 77 shots in two wins.
Oct. 14, 2016 Fleury was excellent in Thursday's season-opening win over Washington, turning aside 39 of 41 shots. With postseason hero Matt Murray likely out until at least November with a broken hand, Fleury will draw the lion's share of early season starts and rates as a solid fantasy choice if he keeps on putting up performances like this one.
May 24, 2016 The Pittsburgh Penguins will start rookie goaltender Matt Murray instead of Fleury for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference championship series. Coach Mike Sullivan made the decision Tuesday, with the Penguins facing elimination for the first time this postseason. Tampa Bay holds a 3-2 series lead and is seeking to reach the Stanley Cup Final for the second straight year. Murray started the first four games of the series. Fleury replaced him during the third period of Game 4, then started and allowed four goals in a 4-3 overtime loss in Game 5. Sullivan said he was switching back to Murray because "just like we make all our lineup decisions, we try to put players on the ice that we think give us the best chance to win." Before Game 5, Fleury had not started a game since March 31, when he suffered a concussion.
May 22, 2016 Fleury will return to the Penguins' crease for Sunday's Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals. It will be the veteran's first start since he sustained a concussion against Nashville on March 31. Rookie Matt Murray had been excellent in his place during these playoffs until Friday's Game 4 loss to Tampa Bay, where he was pulled in favor of Fleury after allowing four goals on 30 shots.
April 2, 2016 Fleury has a concussion and did not travel to New York for Saturday's game against the Islanders. Coach Mike Sullivan said before the game that Fleury was not feeling well Friday and was sent to see team doctors. The coach said the concussion diagnosis came that afternoon. This is Fleury's second concussion this season. He missed eight games in December with post-concussion symptoms. Sullivan says Matt Murray will start in goal against the Islanders, with Jeff Zatkoff the backup.
