Anderson is 10-11-2 with a 3.07 GAA and .908 save percentage, He will face the Senators, who are 17th in NHL scoring, averaging 3.16 goals per game. None
April 6, 2023 Anderson (upper body) won't dress for Thursday's game versus the Red Wings, Joe Yerdon of Noted Hockey reports. - Anderson's absence is no surprise since the Sabres have three other healthy goalies available. It's unclear if Anderson will draw in again over the next week, as the Sabres seem content to give Devon Levi an extended look in goal. None

At this point, even if cleared to play, the Sabres may opt against using Anderson in any of the six remaining contests in order to give their other netminders, like Devon Levi, the opportunity to get some NHL experience. None
March 31, 2023 Anderson (upper body) will miss Friday's contest against the Rangers, per Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News. - Anderson has a 10-11-2 record, 3.07 GAA and .908 save percentage in 25 outings this season. He was last in net March 21. Devon Levi will start Friday, and Eric Comrie will be the backup. None
March 21, 2023 Anderson will guard the home goal versus the Predators on Tuesday, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. - Anderson has won two of his last five games, allowing 16 goals over that span. The Predators have lost three games in a row, so this could be a solid spot for Anderson to bounce back after giving up five goals on 22 shots to the Flyers on Friday. None
March 18, 2023 Anderson made 17 saves in Friday's 5-2 loss to Philadelphia. - The Sabres didn't get on the board until the third period, but Anderson made sure the hole was too deep by giving up three goals on 12 shots in the second. The veteran netminder has lost three of his last four starts, and in seven outings since the All-Star break he carries a 3.27 GAA and .899 save percentage. None
March 13, 2023 Anderson was the first goalie to leave the ice Monday, Mark Masters of TSN reports, indicating he'll tend the twine on the road versus Toronto. - In 22 games this season, Anderson has posted a 9-9-2 record with a 2.78 GAA and one shutout. The 41-year-old backstop will likely continue to serve as a No. 2 option behind Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen but should still get a handful of starts down the stretch, especially with teammate Eric Comrie out for a stretch with a lower-body injury. None
March 6, 2023 Anderson will get the starting nod at home against the Oilers on Monday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports. - In his last appearance, Anderson coughed up four goals on 35 shots during a loss to Columbus. He's 3-5-1 at home this season and hasn't earned a home victory since posting a 40-save shutout against the Kings on Dec. 13. None
Feb. 28, 2023 Anderson was the first goalie to leave the ice Tuesday, Joe Yerdon of the Bleacher Report reports, indicating he'll be in goal at home versus Columbus. - Anderson has put up decent numbers in 20 appearances this season, posting a 9-7-2 record, 2.70 GAA and one shutout. None
Feb. 25, 2023 Anderson made 53 saves in Friday's 3-1 win over the Panthers. - The Sabres were out-shot 54-35 on a night that really should have seen a much higher score were it not for the efforts of the two guys in the crease. Anderson took a shutout into the third period before Carter Verhaeghe finally got a puck past him, but the 41-year-old netminder still picked up his first win since Jan. 23 while tying his career high in saves -- a mark he established back in 2008 when he was a member of the Panthers. The 53 saves also set a new Sabres franchise record for stops in a win and is the third-highest single-game total in club history, while Anderson became the first goalie in their 40s in NHL history to rack up 50 or more saves in a night. None
Feb. 24, 2023 Anderson is expected to start on the road against Florida on Friday, per Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News. - Anderson has an 8-7-2 record, 2.79 GAA and .915 save percentage in 19 contests this season. The only goal Anderson allowed was scored at 14:36 of the second period while the Maple Leafs were on the power play. Toronto's final marker was on an empty net. Anderson wasn't charged with the loss, so his record is still 8-7-2. He also has a 2.79 GAA and a .915 save percentage in 19 outings in 2022-23. The 41-year-old fared far better Tuesday than he did Feb. 13, when he stopped 23 of 28 shots in a 5-2 loss to Los Angeles. None

With the Sabres trying to balance a three-goalie rotation, Anderson has seen his playing time slip -- this was just his fourth appearance in January. The 41-year-old is up to 8-6-2 with a 2.73 GAA and a .918 save percentage through 17 outings this season. The Sabres are back in action Tuesday in St. Louis, which will likely see one of Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen or Eric Comrie earning a start. None
Jan. 17, 2023 Anderson will guard the road goal Tuesday versus the Blackhawks, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports. - Anderson has started just twice in the last eight games as the Sabres have tried to juggle rostering three goalies. He's allowed six goals on 70 shots while losing both of his starts in that span, but he'll have a very favorable matchup Tuesday even with the Sabres on the second half of a back-to-back. None
Jan. 9, 2023 Anderson will start Monday's home game against Philadelphia, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports. - Anderson has turned aside 99 of 103 shots in his past three outings en route to a 2-1-0 record. Dec. 22, 2022 Anderson's game against Tampa Bay on Friday has been postponed, Lance Lyokowski of the Buffalo News reports. - Buffalo is expected to be hit by another large snowstorm Thursday and Friday, making travel very dangerous. The NHL has decided to postpone the contest and the Sabres are now off until Tuesday, when they travel to Columbus. None
Dec. 17, 2022 Anderson will be between the road pipes against Arizona on Saturday, Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News reports. - Anderson was superb in his last outing, stopping all 40 shots in a 6-0 win over LA on Monday. The 41-year-old netminder is 6-4-1 with a 2.71 GAA and a .921 save percentage. He will face the Coyotes, who have played well at home this season, going 4-2-1 at Mullet Arena. None

Dec. 9, 2022 Per Penguins radio voice Josh Getzoff, Anderson was the first goaltender off the ice Friday, indicating he will patrol the home crease against Pittsburgh. - Anderson has faced 89 shots on goal in his last two games of action, but this will be his first start in four games. He is 5-4-0 with a 2.87 GAA and a .916 save percentage this season. He will face the Penguins, who have 93 goals in 26 games, 10th best in the NHL. None
Nov. 30, 2022 Anderson will guard the road goal in Wednesday's game versus the Red Wings, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports. - Anderson has alternated starts with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen over the last six games. The 41-year-old faces a Detroit team that has earned at least one point in five of its last six games. None

Nov. 22, 2022 Anderson is on track to start between the pipes in Tuesday's road game versus the Canadiens, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. - Anderson wasn't great in his last start last Tuesday versus Vancouver, surrendering five goals on 32 shots en route to a 5-4 defeat. The 41-year-old vet will try to snap his personal three-game losing streak in a road matchup with a Montreal team that's averaging 3.50 goals per game at home this season, 11th in the NHL. None
Nov. 16, 2022 Anderson made 27 saves during Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Canucks. - Anderson, the NHL's oldest active player, yielded five goals through the opening 28:25, but blanked the Canucks the rest of the way, allowing the Sabres a chance to rally. It fell short and the Sabres dropped their sixth-straight game. The 41-year-old netminder fell to 3-3-0 as the Sabres have yielded 29 goals during the skid. None
Nov. 15, 2022 Anderson will guard the home net Tuesday against Vancouver, per Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News. - It'll be the second start in a row for Anderson, who allowed three goals on 30 shots in a loss Saturday to the Bruins. He is 3-1-0 with a 2.25 GAA and a .927 save percentage. Anderson gave up only two goals in his first two games of the season but has allowed seven goals over his last two games on 58 shots. He faces the red-hot Bruins, who have a 12-2-0 record while averaging 4.07 goals per game this season. None
Nov. 4, 2022 Anderson will be between the visiting pipes against Carolina on Friday, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports. - It will be Anderson's fourth start of the season. He is a perfect 3-0-0 in 2022-23, stopping 87 of 92 shots in wins over Ottawa, Vancouver and Chicago. It will be a tougher matchup Friday against the Hurricanes, who are currently 7-2-1 while averaging 3.30 goals per game. None
Oct. 29, 2022 Anderson will defend the home cage against Chicago on Saturday, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. - Anderson was the first goalie off the ice and with Eric Comrie on the ice early to work with the goaltender coach, Anderson will get the start. Anderson is 2-0-0 this season, giving up only two goals on 66 shots. He will play against the Blackhawks, who have been competing surprisingly well under new head coach Luke Richardson. The Blackhawks are back on the road after a four-game homestand and have scored 21 goals in their last five games. None
Oct. 22, 2022 Anderson was the first goaltender off the ice Saturday, reports Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News, indicating he will be in the road crease against Vancouver. - Anderson has not played since Opening Night when he turned aside 35 of 36 shots in a 4-1 win over Ottawa. The 41-year-old netminder looks to have been overtaken for the No. 1 job with the Sabres by Eric Comrie. He will face the Canucks who have their home opener Saturday and have scored 15 goals in five games. None
Oct. 13, 2022 Anderson made 35 saves in a 4-1 win over Ottawa on Thursday. - The score was far closer than its final mark -- the Sabres put in two empty-net goals in the last minute of play to tilt the box score in a very tight contest. Anderson was super sharp against his former team, but he's 41 and last started more than 40 games some five seasons ago (2018-19). He's a match-ups 'tender at this point in his career. None
Oct. 4, 2022 Anderson will get the starting nod at home versus Carolina on Tuesday, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. - Anderson faced just nine shots, allowing one goal, in his previous preseason outing against the Flyers on Tuesday. A veteran of 683 games, including 597 starts, Anderson shouldn't need much in the way of preseason action to prepare for the season and figures to see the majority of the starts over Eric Comrie. None
Sept. 26, 2022 Anderson is expected to tend the twine against the Flyers on Tuesday, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. - Coach Don Granto wouldn't commit to how long Anderson might be in goal for Tuesday's preseason clash. The 41-year-old netminder has certainly seen his fair share of training camps and likely won't need a lot of minutes to get up to full speed. Barring any remarkable camp performances, Anderson should enter the season as the No. 1 option ahead of Malcolm Subban and Eric Comrie. None
June 30, 2022 Anderson (undisclosed) penned a one-year, $1.5 million contract with Buffalo on Thursday. - Anderson figures to enter the 2022-23 season as the presumptive starter for the Sabres, especially considering he is currently the only NHL-caliber goalie under contract for the organization. Barring any offseason free-agent additions, Anderson could split the workload with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, though the club would probably prefer to let the youngster play more games in the minors while Anderson carries the load with the big club. None
April 29, 2022 Anderson (undisclosed) will not dress for Friday's game against visiting Chicago, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports. - Dustin Tokarski has been named the starter for Buffalo's season finale, with the recently recalled Michael Houser backing up. The 40-year-old Anderson managed to record 17 wins in his first season with the Sabres, recording a 3.12 GAA and .897 save percentage along the way. None
April 27, 2022 Anderson (undisclosed) hasn't been ruled out of the final two games of the season, but he isn't expected to be available Thursday against the Bruins, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports. - Although Anderson almost certainly won't start against Boston, he could make one last appearance for the campaign Friday versus Chicago. The 40-year-old vet has gone 17-12-2 while posting a 3.12 GAA and an .897 save percentage through 31 contests this season. None
April 23, 2022 Anderson (undisclosed) is considered day-to-day and won't dress for Saturday's game against the Islanders, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports. - With Anderson sidelined, Dustin Tokarski will start in goal against the Isles with Aaron Dell serving as his backup. Anderson will be reevaluated ahead of Thursday's matchup with Boston. None
April 21, 2022 Anderson will start Thursday in New Jersey, Jourdon LaBarber of the Sabres' official site reports. - With a 4-3-0 record over his last seven despite an ugly 3.44 GAA and .875 save percentage during that span, Anderson has been getting plenty of goal support from the Sabres offense recently. He'll look to tidy things up in the crease against a Devils squad that's averaged a 23rd-ranked 2.96 goals for since March 1. None
April 14, 2022 Anderson stopped 22 out of 27 shots in Thursday's 6-2 loss to St. Louis. - Buffalo actually outshot St. Louis 37-28, but Anderson allowed five goals (with another scored on an empty net) en route to his third loss in his last four starts. Over that stretch, the veteran netminder has struggled to a .857 save percentage. It'll be difficult to trust Anderson as a reliable goaltending option moving forward. None
April 12, 2022 Anderson will guard the road goal Tuesday versus the Maple Leafs, Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun reports. - Anderson has allowed nine goals on 59 shots across his last two starts. He'll get another tough matchup Tuesday against the Maple Leafs and the red-hot Auston Matthews, so Anderson isn't the best of options in fantasy on a 14-game day. None
April 10, 2022 Anderson will be in goal for Sunday's game against the Lightning, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports. - Anderson did not play in Friday's loss to the Panthers, but he will be back in the net for Sunday's contest. He faced Tampa Bay back in October and picked up the win by stopping 35 of the 36 shots sent his direction in Buffalo's 5-1 win. None
April 7, 2022 Anderson will guard the road goal during Thursday's matchup with the Hurricanes. - Anderson was excellent in his last start Tuesday against Carolina, turning aside 32 of 34 shots en route to a 4-2 home victory. The 40-year-old vet will try to secure a second straight win over the same Hurricanes squad on the road Thursday. None
April 6, 2022 Anderson made 32 saves in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes. - The veteran netminder held the potent Carolina in check, shutting down the Canes' top two lines completely on the night. Anderson is an impressive 8-2-2 over 12 starts since the beginning of March, but his 3.03 GAA and .901 save percentage during that stretch might be about the best you can expect from him at this stage of his career. None
April 5, 2022 Anderson will be tending the twine against Carolina at home Tuesday, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports. - Anderson is undefeated in regulation over his last five appearances, posting a 3-0-2 record, 2.88 GAA and .894 save percentage. At this point, the 40-year-old goalie will be a long shot to reach the 20-win mark but could still offer decent fantasy value given the right matchup. None
April 2, 2022 Anderson made 22 saves in Friday's 4-3 win over the Predators. - The two teams battled to a wild 3-3 stalemate in the first period, but Anderson shut the door on Nashville the rest of the way. The veteran goalie has only one regulation loss in his last eight starts, going 5-1-2, but his 2.92 GAA and .902 save percentage over that stretch indicate most of the credit should go to the Buffalo offense. None
April 1, 2022 Anderson will get the starting nod at home against Nashville on Friday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports. - Anderson has lost his last two outings, falling to 12-9-2 with a 3.07 GAA through 23 games. However, he's been impressive at home this season; the 40-year-old netminder is sporting a .920 save percentage and 2.43 GAA with a 7-3-1 record at KeyBank Center. Friday's tilt will be his first matchup with Nashville during the 2021-22 campaign. None
March 30, 2022 Anderson will get the starting nod at home versus the Jets on Wednesday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports. - Anderson has given up five or more goals in two of his last four contests, including conceding five goals on 31 shots versus the Rangers on Sunday. Still, the 40-year-old netminder should continue to see the majority of the starts for Buffalo down the stretch unless the club wants to bring up youngster Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to give him some more opportunities to prove himself. None
March 28, 2022 Anderson stopped 26 shots in Sunday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Rangers. - After coughing up two quick goals to begin the first period, Anderson settled down and gave the Sabres a chance to mount a comeback, although they ultimately fell short in OT. Even so, it's the third time in his last seven starts the veteran netminder has allowed five goals or more, a stretch during which Anderson has a 3.51 GAA and .888 save percentage. None
March 27, 2022 Anderson will get the starting nod on the road against the Rangers on Sunday, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports. - Anderson is 4-1-0 over his last five outings with a .913 save percentage during that stretch. The 40-year-old netminder is 12-9-0 with a 3.04 GAA and a .904 save percentage this season. He's 5-6-0 in road games with an unsightly 3.55 GAA. None
March 23, 2022 Anderson stopped 23 of 26 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Penguins. - Buffalo went up by a goal three times, only to watch a long-time member of Pittsburgh's core answer back each time. First, it was Sidney Crosby, then Evgeni Malkin, and finally Kris Letang with less than five minutes left in regulation. The late equalizer didn't bother Anderson, as he held the fort through overtime, then denied Bryan Rust and Crosby in the shootout. Two Buffalo shooters scored, propelling Anderson to his 12th win of the campaign without having to face a third Pittsburgh shooter. None
March 22, 2022 Anderson will guard the home goal during Wednesday's matchup with the Penguins, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. - Anderson was sharp in his last start Sunday versus Vancouver, turning aside 30 of 32 shots en route to a 3-2 overtime win. He'll try to secure his 12th victory of the season in a tough home matchup with a Pittsburgh team that's 21-7-4 on the road this year. None
March 20, 2022 Anderson stopped 30 of 32 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canucks. - Anderson turned in a solid performance Sunday, limiting the Canucks' scoring to just the second period. The 40-year-old was rewarded when Rasmus Dahlin scored the game-winner in overtime. Anderson has allowed two or fewer goals in four of his last eight games, but he's given up four or more goals in the other four appearances. He improved to 11-9-0 with a 3.06 GAA and a .904 save percentage in 20 starts. The Sabres' next game is at home Wednesday versus the Penguins. None
March 17, 2022 Anderson led the Sabres onto the ice, indicating he'll start Thursday's road game versus the Oilers, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports. - Anderson has won four of his last five starts, allowing just 14 goals in that span but just eight goals in the wins. He'll face an Oilers team that enters Thursday on a three-game winning streak, and their top-tier talent could make this a difficult matchup for the veteran netminder. None
March 13, 2022 Anderson made 34 saves in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs. - The game was tied at 2-2 headed into the third period, but Anderson stood tall in the final frame while Petr Mrazek faltered for Toronto. Anderson has won four of his last five starts, beating the Leafs twice and the Golden Knights once during that stretch, but his 2.96 GAA and .907 save percentage on the season suggest the 40-year-old won't be able to turn back the clock for much longer. None
March 12, 2022 Anderson will guard the home goal during Sunday's Heritage Classic versus the Maple Leafs, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. - Although the Sabres will technically be the home team, Sunday's Heritage Classic will be played outdoors in Hamilton, Ontario. Anderson will try to secure his 10th win of the year in a tough matchup with a Toronto team that's averaging 3.71 goals per game this season, third in the NHL. None
March 10, 2022 Anderson will defend the cage Thursday against visiting Las Vegas, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. - Anderson has posted a 4-6-0 record with a 3.53 GAA and .888 save percentage over his last 10 performances. The 40-year-old stopped 30 of 35 shots en route to a 5-2 loss to Las Vegas on Feb. 1. As visitors, the Golden Knights have gone 16-9-1 alongside averages of 31.2 shots on goal and 3.12 goals for, ranking 13th and 15th, respectively. None
March 8, 2022 Anderson stopped 25 shots in Monday's 6-1 loss to the Panthers. - A four-goal second period by Florida put the game out of reach. Anderson continues to struggle, allowing at least four goals in four of his last six starts and posting a ghastly 4.04 GAA and .874 save percentage over that stretch. The Sabres don't have a lot of other options in net, but the 40-year-old Anderson clearly isn't the answer. None
March 5, 2022 Anderson made 29 saves in Friday's 5-4 win over the Wild. - The score was only 2-1 heading into the third period, but both offenses opened things up over the final 20 minutes and Minnesota actually grabbed a lead early in the frame before Buffalo responded with three straight tallies. Anderson has started nine of 14 games since returning from an upper-body injury in late January but hasn't exactly excelled, going 4-5-0 with a 3.25 GAA and .897 save percentage. None
March 4, 2022 Anderson will start between the pipes Friday against visiting Minnesota, per Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News. - Anderson has posted a 3-5-0 record with a 3.15 GAA and .900 save percentage over his last eight appearances. The 40-year-old recently snapped a personal four-game losing streak by securing a 5-1 win over Toronto on Wednesday. As visitors, the Wild have gone 16-12-2 while averaging 3.27 goals for and 30.8 shots on goal, ranking 10th and 15th, respectively. None
March 2, 2022 Anderson will defend the cage on the road versus the Leafs on Wednesday, Mike Zeisberger of NHL.com reports. - Anderson has dropped four straight games in which he has given up a combined 15 goals on 124 shots (.879 save percentage). With just six victories on the year, the veteran netminder is in danger of missing the 15-win threshold for the third consecutive season. Anderson will be 41 years of age heading into free agency this summer, so it's safe to wonder if this could be it for his 19-year NHL career. None
Feb. 27, 2022 Anderson will guard the road cage during Sunday's matchup with the Stars. - Anderson has struggled recently, suffering back-to-back losses to the Blue Jackets and the Canadiens while posting an ugly 4.54 GAA and .864 save percentage. The 40-year-old vet will try to snap his personal three-game losing streak in a road matchup with a Dallas team that's 18-7-1 at home this year. None

Anderson was beaten on a beauty top shelf backhand by Zach Sanford at 16:04 of the second and a deflection by Austin Watson at 10:49 of the third. Anderson is the Sens franchise leader in games played (435), starts (422) and wins (202). Since returning from injury, he is 2-2 for the Sabres, but the wins came against the lowly Yotes and Habs. None

The Senators also hold the fourth-worst road power-play percentage at 13.9. Ottawa defeated Buffalo 5-0 on Jan. 25, but Anderson did not make an appearance. None

Feb. 9, 2022 Anderson will get the starting nod for Sunday's road clash with Montreal, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. - Anderson will get some extra time off coming out of the All-Star break with Dustin Tokarski between the pipes versus the Blue Jackets on Thursday. Considering the 40-year-old Anderson's extended injury absence, it probably isn't the worst idea to ease him back into a heavy workload. For now, Anderson and Tokarski will split the workload but the imminent return of Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body) will create a logjam in the crease. None

If the veteran does get into the crease, it would be his first game action since Nov. 2 versus San Jose. None
Jan. 25, 2022 Anderson (upper body) is targeting the NHL All-Star break for his return to action, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. - Getting Anderson back would be a huge boost to the Sabers considering the team is stretched thin in goal thanks to extended absences for Malcolm Subban (upper body), Dustin Tokarski (COVID-19 protocols) and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. Once given the green light, the veteran Anderson should be a lock to reclaim the starting job, especially considering how poorly Aaron Dell has performed this season (one win in 11 outings). None

Still, it's certainly a step in the right direction for the veteran netminder. Once given the green light, Anderson should reclaim his spot as the preferred choice between the pipes for Buffalo. None
Nov. 22, 2021 Anderson (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports. - Assuming the move was made retroactively, Anderson will be eligible to return whenever he's healthy. Nov. 8, 2021 Anderson (upper body) will be unavailable versus Washington on Monday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports. - Coach Don Granato declined to name a starter in Anderson's stead, so fantasy players will need to wait until warmups to see if Duston Tokarski or Aaron Dell gets the nod. Despite playing in his 19th NHL campaign, the veteran Anderson continues to perform well, starting the year with a 4-2-0 record and 2.49 GAA in six outings.
