The 43-year-old Brodeur played seven games for St. Louis this season, retiring Jan. 29 to become a senior adviser to Armstrong. Brodeur played 21 seasons for New Jersey, leading the Devils to three Stanley Cup titles and winning the Vezina Trophy four times as the NHL's top goalie. Brodeur leads NHL goalies in career victories with 691, shutouts with 125, games with 1,266 and minutes with 74,438. He's also first in playoff starts with 204 and shutouts with 24.

That duo has made the starts during the Blues' five-game winning streak. Brodeur is 3-3 with a 2.87 goals-against average in seven games since joining the Blues in December after two decades with New Jersey. He has an .899 save percentage and one shutout.

Dec. 30, 2014 Brodeur made 16 saves in Monday's 3-0 win over Colorado. It was Brodeur's first shutout with his new team, and he's posted 80 minutes of scoreless hockey since allowing six goals in Los Angeles on Dec. 18.
Dec. 19, 2014 Brodeur matched a career high by giving up six goals in a loss at the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night. It was the 15th time in 1,263 regular-season games that Brodeur had allowed six goals. He had yielded seven in his first three appearances for St. Louis and three in his prior two games.
Dec. 4, 2014 Brodeur, the NHL's goalie leader in games, wins and shutouts, is back. This time with the St. Louis Blues instead of the New Jersey Devils. He made a fine save in close against Colin Wilson less than a minute into his debut. The soon-to-be 42-year-old Brodeur is in the final year of his contract and is likely to test the free-agent market now that he has become the backup to Cory Schneider. He added 19 wins to his NHL-record total (now 688) this season and had three shutouts to extend another mark to 124.

Brodeur was attended to by a trainer and was able to get up and remain in the game, before being pulled moments later for an extra skater as New Jersey pressed for the tying goal.
