April 10, 2017	Bickell scored in the shootout of his final game before retiring because of multiple sclerosis, and the Hurricanes beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 Sunday night in the season finale for both teams.	What an incredible moment to wrap up a pretty memorable career that included three Stanley Cups. ''I think I sweated all the tears out, so I don't have much left,'' Bickell said after receiving countless handshakes and hugs from teammates. ''It's been an emotional week leading into this day. Seeing my family here, all the people that supported me through it all, I'm just happy.''
April 6, 2017	Bickell skated in his first home game since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis Thursday in a loss to the Islanders.	Bickell has one goal and no assists in nine games this season.

Though the soon-to-be 31-year-old hasn't been an effective forward in several years, his return would be an inspirational and heartwarming story.
Nov. 10, 2016	The Hurricanes have recalled Bickell from Charlotte of the AHL, and he's expected to be in the lineup for Tuesday's visit to Minnesota, his first NHL game since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in November.	The 30-year-old has made a remarkable comeback from the career-threatening disease. Bickell returned to competitive hockey in February and appeared in 10 games with Charlotte, recording one goal and three assists.
June 15, 2016	The Blackhawks have traded Bickell along with fellow forward Teuvo Teravainen to the Hurricanes in exchange for two draft picks.	Bickell, who split time between Chicago and the AHL last season, had been considered a buyout candidate prior to getting dealt. He has one year left on his contract with a cap hit of $4 million after having no goals and two assists in 25 games for the Blackhawks last season.

The 30-year-old Bickell has spent much of this season with the IceHogs after helping Chicago win the Stanley Cup last year. The rugged winger, who signed a $16 million, four-year deal in 2013, has 65 goals and 70 assists in 382 NHL games, all with the Blackhawks.

Bickell signed a $16 million, four-year contract after he played a key role in the Blackhawks' run to the Stanley Cup title in 2013. But he hasn't been able to live up to that big deal. The 29-year-old Bickell has no goals and two assists in 23 games with Chicago this season.

The physical winger was sent down Nov. 2 after he had no points in his first seven games of the season with Chicago. The 29-year-old Bickell had seven goals and seven assists in 12 games with the IceHogs.
Nov. 2, 2015	The Chicago Blackhawks sent slumping forward Bryan Bickell to Rockford of the AHL on Monday and recalled prospect Marko Dano. The 29-year-old Bickell has struggled since he was rewarded in June 2013 with a four-year contract extension that pays $4 million annually.	Bickell has no points in seven games this season after clearing waivers in early October. According to coach Joel Quenneville, Bickell is not injured and needs to work on his consistency if he hopes to return to Chicago.
Oct. 3, 2015	Bickell has cleared waivers and will remain with the Stanley Cup champions for now.	Bickell could have been sent down to Rockford of the American Hockey League after he cleared waivers on Saturday, but coach Joel Quenneville says he is staying and would play against in the Blackhawks' exhibition game against Dallas. The Blackhawks are looking for more production from Bickell after he had 14 goals and 14 assists in 80 games last season, and then struggled in the playoffs.
Oct. 2, 2015	A person familiar with the move tells The Associated Press that the Chicago Blackhawks have placed Bickell on waivers. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Blackhawks did not include Bickell as part of their roster moves Friday.	In making the move, the Blackhawks free up $4 million that Bickell's contract represents against their salary cap.
June 7, 2015	Bickell and defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk could return to the Chicago Blackhawks' lineup for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals against Tampa Bay on Monday night, coach Joel Quenneville said. He did not say if they will play, however.	Quenneville said Sunday he thinks Bickell is healthy after missing the first two games of the series. He was hurt in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals in Anaheim. The Blackhawks haven't disclosed the nature of Bickell's injury, but the forward said he passed the league's concussion tests.
