Jan. 30, 2015 Bryzgalov suffered another poor outing Thursday. Bryzgalov allowed six goals on 25 shots and was pulled in the second period of Anaheim's loss to San Jose. The veteran goaltender has been abysmal this season. He owns a 4.69 goals-against average in five games.
Jan. 17, 2015 Bryzgalov needed to make just 14 saves in a 5-1 victory over New Jersey on Friday night. Bryzgalov's win was his first in three starts since returning to the Ducks on Dec. 9 as a free agent. He was the backup to Jean-Sebastien Giguere during Anaheim's 2007 Stanley Cup championship season. Bryzgalov was 0-2-0 with a 4.91 goals-against average in his first three appearances this season.

Dec. 20, 2014 Bryzgalov was shaky again in his first start for Anaheim, a 6-2 loss at Ottawa on Friday night. Bryzgalov gave up six or more goals in a game for the ninth time in 459 career contests. He gave up two goals on seven shots in a 6-2 loss in Toronto on Tuesday, his first game with the Ducks since Nov. 7, 2007. Bryzgalov was making his first NHL start since April 13.
Dec. 3, 2014 Bryzgalov has agreed to a one-year, $2.88 million contract to return to the Anaheim Ducks. Bryzgalov had been out of hockey this year until getting the call from the Ducks, who need a dependable backup behind Frederik Andersen. John Gibson, Anaheim's 21-year-old top prospect, hasn't played since Oct. 30 due to a groin injury. The 34-year-old Bryzgalov began his NHL career with Anaheim, appearing in 69 games from 2001-08. He was the backup to Jean-Sebastien Giguere on the Ducks' only Stanley Cup championship team in 2007. Bryzgalov went on to play for Phoenix, Philadelphia, Edmonton and Minnesota. He appeared in 12 regular-season games and nine playoff games for the Wild last year.
May 2, 2014 Bryzgalov will start in goal for the Minnesota Wild in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Chicago Blackhawks. Bryzgalov replaced Darcy Kuemper in the third period of Minnesota's 5-4 overtime win in Game 7 of its first-round series against Colorado. Bryzgalov started the first two playoff games against the Avalanche but was pulled after allowing eight goals.
April 21, 2014 The Minnesota Wild have switched goalies for Game 3 of their playoff series against the Colorado Avalanche, giving Darcy Kuemper the start instead of Ilya Bryzgalov. Coach Mike Yeo confirmed the change after the pre-game morning skate on Monday. Yeo pulled Bryzgalov for Kuemper midway through the second period on Saturday when the Wild fell behind 3-1. The Avalanche won the first two games of the series.
April 8, 2014 Bryzgalov recorded his second consecutive shutout with 24 saves at Winnipeg on Monday. Bryzgalov, who already has three shutouts in 10 games for Minnesota, has posted an 0.98 goals-against average over his last five starts.
April 6, 2014 Bryzgalov stopped all 20 shots he faced as the Minnesota Wild beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-0 on Saturday night. Bryzgalov posted his second shutout since being acquired by the Wild on March 4. He was steady throughout and made a pair of outstanding saves in the second period to keep the shutout intact. He's 3-0-1 with a 1.22 goals-against average in his last four starts.

March 10, 2014 In Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss to St. Louis, Bryzgalov had 21 saves in his first start for Minnesota since coming over in a trade with Edmonton. However, he failed to stop a shot in the shootout.
March 4, 2014 The Minnesota Wild have acquired Bryzgalov from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick. The 33-year-old Russian has a 5-8-5 record in 20 games for the Oilers this season with a 3.01 goals-against average. His save percentage is .913. June 25, 2013 The Philadelphia Flyers are buying out the remainder of goalie Ilya Bryzgalov's contract, saving the team nearly $6 million under the salary cap for each of the next seven years. Bryzgalov was two seasons into a $51 million, nine-year contract he signed in 2011. General manager Paul Holmgren announced the move Tuesday. Last week, the Flyers exercised the first of their two compliance buyouts on forward Danny Briere.
